Because we believe the key to a better future lies in a better education, Amigos strives to promote educational opportunities for the people of Santa Cruz. Our funds purchase needed school supplies for the primary school, support a daily hot nutritional snack program for 400 students, an afterschool program for special needs children and an ongoing teacher training program. Our computer education center provides students with access to educational resources and information and opens up the world  to communicate with other students and cultures. We remove financial barriers to secondary and higher education through our scholarship program for students and adults who want to continue their education beyond the 6th grade and encourage leadership through special incentive programs.
